Fan fold item and place on a table on opposite side of ironing board. Advance cloth toward you when ironing. When item nearly reaches the floor in front of you, bring the end up between you and the Extension Arm. Then thread the end downward between the Extension Arm and the ironing board so that the end meets the material coming off of the board. This will make a loop. Continue advancing the item toward you from the board and then advancing fabric down over the Extension Arm as well so that the end is always at the bottom of the loop.

If end reaches loop at the floor, but there is still more length to iron on the board, begin fan-folding ironed portion over the Extension Arm. Be careful not to exceed the weight limit.
